The artist, CC2, premiered his new music video for the song Mena Rush online yesterday. The Anambra native is also looking to collaborate with Tinie Tempah, Ellie Goulding and Reminisce on his forthcoming debut album. More info about CC2 can be found below.

Chisom Charles Metu (born July 24, 1991) better known by his stage name CC2 is a Nigerian-Jamaican recording artiste, performer and entertainer from Umunachi in Anambra state was born to Late Chief & Mrs Metu. His father, Late Chief Jerome Metu was a Civil servant and business magnate while his mum Late Mrs. Ngozi Metu was a civil servant. Born and raised on the streets of New Haven in Enugu state and partly in Kingston, Jamaica where he spent most of his infant days at before relocating to Nigeria.

Ever before graduating from IMSU where he majored in political science CC2 has always had street credibility for freestyle battles/ rap sessions and never lost interest in good ol’ classic highlife tunes from legends like Osadebe, Oliver De Coque and Fela. In 2013, he released a smashing freestyle single “Asheere” which he featured Music Ace “SolidStar”, a song well received throughout Nigeria especially in the southeastern part. In February 2014, CC2 released his second single “Mena Rush” which was a game-changing Nigerian/Jamaican dancehall hit with the video directed by Nigerian Clarence Peters. With plans on deck by his Manager and CEO Xavier Music, CC2 is lined up to feature the likes of Reminisce amongst other African indigenous acts, Tinie Tempah and Ellie Goulding in his debut album compilation.

For CC2, history, real life experiences and immediate surroundings are very important sources of inspiration when it comes to making good commercial music.
