Egbezi – Up And Coming (Prod. Egbezi And Wolexly)

Egbezi drops a new song today titled Up And Coming.

After a brief chasm from the music scene, Egbezi (Tha Rap Scientist) steps out of the shadows, painting pictures of his heart, in this unique innovation titled “Up And Coming” – a song from the second instalment of his forthcoming EP, MA Heart: With A Pen & Paper 2. “Up And Coming” (produced by Egbezi and Wolexly), is loaded with ‘bitter truths’, almost as much as it is with creativity.

It’s a tale of triumph over adversity, densed with the hypocritic imagery of the Nigerian music industry. It showcases an emcee at the top of his potentials; rhyming over a ‘game changing’ production which samples Enya’s Only time.

Egbezi – What If I Die Tonight?

Egbezi hooks up with Wolexly on What If I Die Tonight? a thought-provoking new single which I’m not sure about where it will end up on.

Reflecting on some past and recent challenges, sad moments, and on life itself, Egbezi returns in a quite pensive mood, meditating on a rather deep question, What if I die tonight?

The Waffarian spitkicker finally comes through with his new extended-play.

Every word, line, and verse is connected to a myocardial fibre; with stimuli from real life situations and experiences; interpreted and transmitted in form of love, hate, sarcasm, aggression, rage, et cetera. MA Heart: With A Pen & Paper is an “all hiphop” 6-track project, showcasing egbezi’s rap dexterity, lyricism and story telling abilities. With the concept centered on having less guest appearances, the EP only features hustle Inc. CEO and revered lyricist, A-Q, with soulful underlay vocals from Dorrah Lor Jay. Production credits goes to RSQ, Wolexly and Tha Rap Scientist himself. This is the second musical compilation to be put out by this “inborn-gifted” lyricist; preceded only by last year’s “Street Motivation” tape.

1. Just Me (Prod. Wolexly)
2. Revolution (Prod. RSQ)
3. You Deserve More (Prod. RSQ)
4. Product Of My City (Prod. Wolexly)
5. Just Bars f. A-Q (Prod. Egbezi & Wolexly)
6. Pursuit Of Happiness (Prod. RSQ)

Egbezi – Not Okay Freestyle

Egbezi delivers his own version of drake’s 5am In Toronto.

Strictly bars hiphop track that was written in 20 minutes, by this upcoming Warri lyricist in the early hours of April 5th (his recent birthday).

The idea was to release the joint that same day as a ‘thank you package’ to his fans, and the entire hiphop universe.

Hear Egbezi‘s Wolexly-produced single Product Of My City off his forthcoming MA Heart: With A Pen & Paper EP.

The lyricist previously dropped “Revolution”, and before that, was the deep and conscious “Pursuit Of Happiness”. With all that out already; comes another solid track, titled “Product Of My City (Warri)”, obviously Egbezi isn’t resting anytime soon. And it’s only just a matter of time before he gets the attention he truly deserves in the music scene.
